"First off I want to congratulate the editors of the site on keeping all us Interisti well informed - as a foreign supporter it is especially hard to follow Serie A and I also want to mention that I am a first time poster.

Ever since I first saw Ronaldo wear an Inter shirt in 1998 I have been a devout follower - I, as all of us have, suffered through Ronaldo's torn cruciate ligaments, May 5th 2002, Champions League Semi Final away goals defeat to AC Milan, countless managers, player etc so I am not a "glory hunter" fan.

The past season has been a forgettable one for all of us after the glory of the treble in 2010. Beginning with the poor appointment of Benitez, the lack of signings, injuries etc.

What has been happening over the past few months has left me questioning our future. Leonardo was never the correct choice - we did well to catch up, but the matches against Milan and Schalke proved that he is not a tactician. I don't like the term "cursed week" because if the team had been set up correctly we would never have lost both games.

The doubts that many fans have over Gasperini I believe are unfounded, and are similar to those that Milan fans had with Allegri, and we know how that turned out. Just because a manager prefers a certain formation i.e 3-4-3 doesn't mean he can't change. Jose's preferred formation is 4-3-3, yet he changed to 4-3-1-2 and then 4-2-3-1. I remember Jose commented to the British press that against Genoa, he had to change his tactics 3-4 times to counter the opposition which he had never had to do before - they were led by Gasperini. My only issue is his contract length - are we looking for a stop gap for this year because Guardiola is arriving next summer?

Moving onto the market. I am extremely disappointed and bitter that we have lost out on Sanchez - he was the perfect player for us but we never put in a proper bid early enough. If we had sent a bid on 1st June before Barcelona or Man City came in we might have had a chance. We also need to move on from this dream of Fabregas - it is never going to happen.

GK's - Viviano must be redeemed and sent on loan to Roma, besides that Bardi or Belec should be promoted.
DEF - Sell Maicon (trade with Ramos wouldn't be bad), bring back Andreolli or buy Silvestre from Catania, buy Criscito and then Danilo from Santos.
MID - Sell Muntari, Kharja (potential swap) and buy 2 from Poli, Montolivo, Casemiro or Kwadwo Asamoah. Also Lamela as backup for Sneijder. Loan Coutinho and Obi.
ATT - Since Sanchez is gone, we need a big signing to show that we are not going backwards - Rossi is the only one that is realistic since he can also play wide and if we give Villareal Pandev plus cash it could happen. Neymar (going to Madrid), Tevez (too expensive), Lukaku (Chelsea bound) should not be considered. No one has mentioned him before but Menez at Roma would be a good gamble (23 years old, Serie A experience, can play RW/RF, LW/LF or CAM, has experience at large club) and would cost no more than e12-15m. Trigoria is not the best environment for him - too much negative pressure.

The final issues that I have are Inter being quoted ridiculous fees for players by clubs who then sell a lot cheaper - Cavani (Inter quoted e25-35m, sold on loan with e17m redemption, Criscito e18m, Genoa accept e6m co-ownership, El Shaaraway not for sale, e10m co-ownership). I am more annoyed at Genoa for selling El Shaaraway after we were repeatedly told he was not for sale, I believe Coutinho will be better anyway.

That's all for now - could mention FFP (all it seems to do is hamper Italian teams), our lack of progress on a new stadium (desperately needed, we can't sell our best players every year to fund transfers), Massimo handing power over to AngeloMario and that Juventus can somehow have e120m to spend while we have nothing.

As always Forza Inter!"

Darren
