As usual on Monday, Gazzetta dello Sport published player's ratings for Cagliari-Inter. Needless to say, the protagonists for Inter were Samuel Eto’o with a 7.5 and Julio Cesar with a 7. The first was the player to give Inter the lead in a game that seemed very difficult to unlock. The second preserved the lead with a quick double save on Nene and Matri. A 6.5 for Stankovic who has responded well after the events in the Marassi, providing substance to the match and, along with Chivu, was focused on covering when Cagliari launched an assault. A 6 for the captain, Zanetti worked the entire match and sacrificed for Inter in emergencies. Lucio and Samuel made appearances, but they are not yet at their best, only a 6. Ditto for Motta, whose dribbling added quality and kept possession with Obi, they inserted well into Benitez’s plan. 5.5 for Biabiany and Coutinho, the first had little impact, using his speed in a wrong way. The second was a bit timid. The worst, with a 5, were Maicon and Sneijder, who have still not shown the best of their potential.

A 6 for Benitez, who got what he wanted, 3 points, but he held the team a bit too deep, perhaps he did not want to risk more injuries.
