The day after the Verona defeat, Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, publishes excerpts of José Mourinho's words regarding Inter's current situation. The Portuguese has been more praised than ever in the past few days, for Inter fans mention his name terribly often during this semi-crisis. The man from Setubal has never displayed a real affinity with Rafa Benitez, and even this time has not passed upon the possibility of criticizing his successor: “Benitez has lost again? That is unbelievable, he is already trailing by 9 points. Everything is different in Italy in comparison to England.”

In the mean time, the “pink newspaper” also analyses the possible substitutes were Benitez to be sacked. The Madrid man will play his last cards in the game against Twente, a failure in this match would probably mean the end of his career with Neroazzurri colours. Were this to happen, the alternatives would be the following: Fabio Capello Moratti's favourite, Luciano Spalletti, ready to free himself from Zenit St. Petersburg, Leonardo, who is also amongst the president's favourites, and the more recent name of Diego Pablo Simeone, who is at the moment available and has a past as an Inter player. What is the destiny of Inter's bench going to be?
