The shirt sponsoring deals in Europe have reached new levels in terms of value, reaching an overall market of 470,7 million Euros in the major European leagues, with an increase of 18% in comparison to last season. This data is the result of the 12th European JerseyReport of sports marketing company, SPORT+MARKT. Although still strong in third position, Serie A has seen an actual decrease in its figures, mainly due to Siena's relegation and thus the loss of Monte dei Paschi di Siena bank.

Like all other major clubs though, Inter has also increased it's income from shirt sponsorship deal with Pirelli: “European Champions are always one of the major candidates for those looking to sponsor in football. They are looking to further increase their income from this sector in the years to come.” These the words of the sales and marketing manager at SPORT+MARKT, Giorgio Brambilla.
